The old and sick might have taken the noble decision not to seek hospital treatment so as not to further burden the NHS and to leave their estates and wills to their heirs sooner rather than later, thus sacrificing themselves for the sake of their children. One time in Hong Kong an elderly gent near me said "Nei gom ging" or "You are amazing". I had to hold back and not say "That's what she said" :) (Though in Cantonese I think I would have had to say "That's what my girlfriend said" as Canto and Chinese does not have gender specific third person)
